How to install on Android

Takes about a minute in Chrome. The app isn’t on Google Play yet, so Android asks you to confirm a few times — that is normal.

    Download the app

    Tap Download for Android. Chrome may say “File might be harmful” — that is the standard message for any app downloaded outside the Play Store. Tap Download anyway.

    Open the file

    When the download finishes, tap the notification. Missed it? Open Chrome, tap ⋮ → Downloads, and tap kotawala-jewels-latest.apk.

    Allow installs from Chrome

    If Android says “For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source”, tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.

    Install and sign in

    Tap Install, then Open. Sign in with your Kotawala account — the same one you use on kotawalajewels.com.

Can’t find the switch?

Settings → Apps → Chrome → Install unknown apps → Allow from this source. Samsung: Settings → Apps → Chrome → Install unknown apps. Xiaomi / Redmi: Settings → Apps → Manage apps → Chrome → Install unknown apps. Older Android (7): Settings → Security → Unknown sources.

“Blocked by Play Protect”

Play Protect flags apps it hasn’t seen on Google Play. Tap More details, then Install anyway.

Updating

Download and install the newer version over the old one. You stay signed in and keep your wishlist and orders.

On iPhone

The iPhone app is coming soon. Until then, add our website to your Home Screen — it opens like an app, with the same account, wishlist and orders.

    Use Safari, not the browser inside another app.

    Scroll down the share sheet if you don’t see it, then tap Add.

    Sign in with your Kotawala account — the same email you use on the website.

Questions

Is the app safe and official?

Yes. It is built and published by Kotawala Jewels, and this page is the only place we distribute it. Android’s warnings appear for every app installed outside Google Play; they don’t mean anything is wrong with the file.

Which login do I use?

Your Kotawala customer account — the same email you use on kotawalajewels.com. No account yet? Create one, or apply for a trade account if you buy for a shop.

Is there an iPhone version?

It is coming soon. Until then you can add the website to your Home Screen.

How do I update?

Download the newer version from this page and install it over the old one. You stay signed in and your wishlist and orders are kept.

Where can I get help?
